Painted over the centuries by numerous artists, Vesuvius represents the symbol of the Bay of Naples.
Tragically known as the destroyer of the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, Vesuvius is certainly one of the attractions to visit, at least once in one’s life!
This tour is an unforgettable experience that will allow you to admire the Bay of Naples from the top of the mountain.
The tour starts every day from Naples. After the second stop in Pompeii to pick up the last passengers, the driver will take you to the slopes of the volcano where you will stop in a restaurant with a breathtaking view.
Here you will have the opportunity to taste the typical wines of the area, accompanied by inviting local products. The area of the Vesuvius is still today characterized by the presence of native varieties of vines.
Each wine (from Lacryma Christi to Caprettone) is able to tell you the history of the area and can be conceived as an ambassador of the culture and traditions of the area.
The tour will continue at a height of 1000 meters. where the guide will support you in buying tickets to visit the crater. From the ticket office you will walk to the real top of the volcano to see the crater and listen to explanations from a volcanological guide of the National Park.
After 2 hours of free time to reach the top and take pictures, you can reach the parking area, where the driver will take you back to Naples.
You will have the opportunity to take numerous photos during breaks!

Once the payment is received, we will send an email confirming the tour or service with the following information:
– Date of execution of the service;
– Name of the person who made the booking and number of participants;
– Tour itinerary and included services;
– Instructions to reach the meeting point with our guide;
– Emergency telephone number.
Campania Visits and Tours reserves the right to modify the itineraries and / or timetables due to major force (adverse weather conditions, rough seas, etc.).
Campania Visits and Tours is not responsible for any museum, archaeological sites closures and is not responsible for strikes, delays, irregularities in city traffic or any other type of damage caused by third parties or force majeure.
Campania Visits and Tours is not responsible for any changes in the input prices or increases in the cost of the services. In the event that such exceptional circumstances should prohibit the execution of the service, Campania Visits and Tours will reimburse the customer the full paid amount, but no other compensation will be due.
Campania Visits and Tours is not responsible for any loss or theft of objects owned by the guests during the tours. For payments by credit card there is a 3% surcharge on the cost of the tour (for American Express the supplement is 5%).
The payment for the requested service will be charged to the credit card indicated in the booking procedure 3 days before the start date of the same.
Once the deadline of 3 days before the starting date of the service expires, it must be paid also in case of non-execution.
In the event that the booking of the service should take place after the 3-day deadline, the payment will be immediate.
The customer can cancel his reservation completely free of charge no later than 3 days before the starting date of the service.
Cancellations received after this deadline will be subject to the payment of the cost of the service.

Il Vesuvio
Il Vesuvio è un vulcano situato in Italia, in posizione dominante rispetto al golfo di Napoli. È uno dei due vulcani attivi dell'Europa continentale, nonché uno dei più studiati e pericolosi al mondo a causa dell'elevata popolazione delle zone circostanti e le sue caratteristiche esplosive.
Origine del nome
Il nome Vesuvio (in latino classico Vesuvius; attestato anche come Vesevius, Vesvius, Vesbius, Vesuvinus, Vesaevus) è presumibilmente d'origine indoeuropea (da una base aues, "illuminare" o eus, "bruciare"). Secondo altri il nome deriverebbe da Vesbio capitano dei Pelasgi che dominò quel territorio.
